Information we use and why

  • Enquiries: the contact details and message you provide help us answer questions, discuss availability and arrange a service. Please avoid including passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
  • Pet-care bookings: contact and booking information, pet details, care instructions and relevant emergency contacts support individual care, scheduling and communication through our booking service.
  • Training accounts: verified account identity, enrolments, purchase references, progress, assessment results and notes you choose to save allow us to provide courses, learning support and completion records. Authorised managers can review learner progress; other learners cannot see it.
  • Practical training: availability, booking requests and attendance or completion records help us arrange and deliver the agreed programme. Discuss access needs directly with the team and share only what is needed.
  • Website operation: technical and security information supports sign-in, checkout, reliability and protection against misuse. Advertising measurement is described below.

Our reasons for using this information

We use information needed to take steps you request before a contract and to provide the services or courses you purchase. We also use information for our legitimate interests in responding to general enquiries, providing customer support, securing our services and resolving problems, taking account of your rights. Where records are required by law, we rely on that legal obligation. Optional Training Hub advertising cookies rely on your consent, which you can withdraw through Cookie preferences.

Services that handle information

Wix hosts the main website and forms and provides verified member sign-in. Time To Pet provides our pet-care booking portal. Square handles new Training Hub payments; payment-card details are not entered into the Training Hub. Our hosted training application stores account, enrolment and learning records.

Information needed for these functions is handled by the relevant provider and authorised people supporting the service. Providers may process information outside the UK. Their notices explain their processing locations, safeguards and privacy contacts:

Please contact us if you need details about a provider or the safeguards relevant to your information. Following a link to another service brings you under that service’s own notice and settings.

Cookies and advertising measurement

Essential cookies and similar storage support functions such as account sign-in, checkout and remembering privacy choices. Wix and embedded services on the main website may also use cookies or similar technologies; their notices describe those technologies. Advertising measurement can record website visits and booking or contact clicks.

On the Training Hub, optional Google Ads purchase measurement is off until you accept it. If you accept, Google receives visit information, an order reference and purchase amount; we do not send your name, email or payment-card details in that measurement. Personalised advertising is not enabled by the Training Hub. Google may process measurement information outside the UK.

You can reject optional Training Hub cookies and still buy and use courses. Use Cookie preferences at the bottom of this page to change your choice; it is remembered for six months. Browser settings can also limit or remove cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in or checkout.

How long information is needed

Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose: answering an enquiry, managing a booking, providing course access and support, keeping required business or care records, and handling complaints or legal claims. A course’s 12-month access period is not a promise that all associated purchase or learning records are deleted at that point. Contact us for the retention information applicable to your records or to request deletion; some records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations or resolve a claim.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing, and request a portable copy of information where that right applies. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Contact info@pawsnklaws-petservices.co.uk with your request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
